Camp Nah Nah Mah

Camp Description Located in Camp Wapiti in Tooele, Utah, this five-day, four-night camp introduces children to the burn survivor world. Kids will meet, talk, play, and live with other survivors their age, fully supported by our experienced counseling staff. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, camp will be split into two sections this year. Activities such as canoeing, rock climbing, and archery give them a chance to build self-esteem and create lasting friendships. Psychosocial professionals additionally provide role-playing activities and mentorship for the young survivor to take on the challenges that life presents.

Camp Program Name: Preschool Camp

Program Description: This is a one day camp program for our littlest survivors held at Thanksgiving Point. Depending on the theme the survivors tour a part of Thanksgiving Point (Butterfly Biosphere, Dinosaur Museum, Discovery Museum), do art with local fire fighters, yoga, read a book, and have lunch. This program is ideal for introducing the idea of a community through play.

Psychosocial professionals additionally provide role-playing activities and mentorship for the young survivor to take on the challenges that life presents.

Camp Dates: June 8th-13th, 2026

Average Number of Participants: 25

Program Description: This 6-day, 5-night trip down Desolation Canyon with Holiday River Company gives teenage burn survivors the opportunity build confidence and self- esteem while experiencing incredible wilderness. The survivors are able to hike, swim, and experience rapids in a way that helps them see how strong and brave they really are.
